Your trip to Curaçao
Flights from Europe
Flights from Europe are widely available. Non-stop flights are available from Amsterdam (Netherlands) and many more flights
from a lot of other European cities, flying to Amsterdam first. Due to the strong network of KLM in Europe, this carrier
offers the most reliable connections. But you can also choose to take a low cost airline to Amsterdam and from there flying
one of the major airlines who has Curacao on its destination list.
KLM offers daily flights, always non-stop. KLM brings you in 8-9 hours to and from Curaçao to Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
They fly a MD-11 on this route. Due to this nonstop-service the chance for delays is minimal compared with other airlines.
Flight time is between 8,5 and 9,5 hours.
You can make reservations at the website www.klm.com. KLM offers economy
seats (31 inch seat pitch, 79 cm) and business class (60 inch seat pitch, 150cm).
Arkefly offers 6 flights a week from Amsterdam to Curaçao. Flight schedules are determined about 6 months in advance. On the
way to or way back from Curaçao they often make a stop in another Caribbean destination which prolongs your flying time with
about 2 hours.
Arkefly offers economy seats but also a 'Comfort-' or a 'Starclass'- seat which gives you some more space (about 10 cm/4
inches more in Comfort; about 26 cm/11 inches more in Starclass). Starclass has separate check in counters. This may be
interesting when you need some more leg room. You can book online at
www.ArkeFly.com.
Finally, Martinair has four flights per week to Curaçao. Martinair has also a stop on the way to or from Curaçao. They
normally fly with a Boeing 767-plane which offers economy and comfort seats. See Arkefly for more details about the facilities,
they are the same. You can book online with www.Martinair.com.
Other possibilities from Europe require a stop-over in any US hub, such as Miami or San Juan (
American Airlines has daily
flights from Miami and San Juan to Curaçao) or New York (Newark,
Continental Airlines has a weekly flight on Saturdays).
Alternative hubs would be Caracas (Aeropostal and local airlines from Curaçao offer daily connections to Curaçao) or Jamaica.
Flights from the US/Canada
The best hub to choose for is definitely Miami or San Juan: American Airlines
has non stop flights daily (and sometimes twice) to Curaçao. Flight time from Miami is about 3 hours and from San Juan about
90 minutes.
Flying in non-stop from New York (Newark) is also possible on Saturdays with
Continental Airlines. Flight time is about 5 hours.
Finally, Delta offers a non-stop connection (only during wintertime) from Atlanta.
From Canada, SkyService offers a nonstop service
from Toronto several days a week.
As there are inter island flights between Curaçao and Aruba,
you can fly via Aruba. Connections nowadays are pretty good and reliable as 4 regional airlines offers those short flights, which takes only
20 minutes. From the US, many airlines (even JetBlue) offer reliable
connections to Aruba.
